Our reward system improves self-esteem.
There’s nothing better for children’s self-esteem than martial arts; different from team sports, it’s an individual activity—they are the stars of their own team. The real secret is the belt-rank system; self-esteem increases with each new belt rank.
Our class structure teaches self-discipline.
Discipline is one thing parents like most about our classes. Our caring, patient staff sets limits with children and requires good behavior at home and at school.
Our activities channel children’s aggression.
Doctors recommend martial arts classes for children, especially those with ADHD. Karate classes channel their energy levels in a positive way.
Our classes enhance assertiveness and confidence.
Our classes include confidence-building drills such as “Black Belt for a Day.”
Our program teaches lifelong self-defense skills.
The children learn practical, proven self-defense methods, and they will become better and better with practice. We teach that there’s an appropriate and inappropriate time to use martial arts.
Our children’s classes are organized into age and skill-appropriate levels. However, there are certain elements that are common to all levels: a belt-rank system that helps improve children’s self-esteem and keeps students motivated through goal-setting, a class structure that teaches self-discipline using caring and patient instructors, confidence-building activities, age-appropriate self-defense skills, and anger management to help channel aggression.
Of course, the children don’t realize they’re getting all these benefits because they’re too busy having fun in class!
